Parts of each deep pool will be adjacent to the intermediate channel.

Each OilFinancier map has 2 or 3 deep oil pools.

The deep pools are always two squares wide. They can be from 4 to 10 squares long.

Deep pools can run in north-south or east-west orientations. Some deep pools will jag a bit from these orientations, but the pool will be at least 3 squares long before it does jag.

One deep pool—and only one—will touch one shallow field.

Economics of Deep Fields   Deep wells not only have a good combination of short payout and sustained cash flow, they are significantly more profitable than shallow and intermediate wells. But they have higher capital costs and require more cooperation to develop in a financially sound way.
